Dr. Loice Rono

Dr. Loice Rono is a visionary health leader and advocate for women’s empowerment and healthcare innovation. She holds a BSc. in Medical Laboratory Science (Kenyatta University), a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (University of Nairobi), a Monitoring and Evaluation in Global Health qualification from the University of Washington, and advanced training in Global Health Diplomacy from the State University of New York.

Early in her academic journey, Dr. Rono demonstrated strong leadership, chairing student associations at Kenyatta University. In 2008, she co-founded a medical supplies company that now operates across Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), supporting healthcare infrastructure regionally.

A passionate advocate for women’s health, Dr. Rono has reached over 10,000 women through education on cervical cancer, child health, and economic empowerment. She has spoken on international platforms, serves as a Board Member of Mama Doing Good – Office of the First Lady, and is the Country Host of the Africa Women Summit. She is also an executive member of Chalan Foundation, which promotes life skills and education access to children in public day secondary schools.

Currently, she serves as a Health Advisor within the President’s Economic Transformation Secretariat, shaping national health strategies that align with economic growth. Dr. Rono balances her public service with her role as a wife and mother, exemplifying compassionate, purpose-driven leadership.
